Hatha and Flowing yoga with Ruth

Ruth has been a practitioner of yoga for over 30 years, and has been teaching and sharing her knowledge of yoga for over 20 years, in London and the Essex area, and on yoga retreats abroad.

Her inspiration comes from a broad spectrum of many years of study & yoga disciplines, and teaches yoga as a healing Art that opens up the heart to ourselves and others. She believes that the benefits of yoga can be for all, no matter what age.

Ruth's sense of fun and enthusiasm for yoga is apparent, yet she has a sensitive & compassionate approach to her practise and teaching, to meet individual needs. She is also a qualified counsellor holding a diploma in psychosynthesis therapy.

A yoga holiday is an opportunity to unfold at your own pace, and go deeper into your practise. Surrounded by the stunning and beautiful scenery of nature all around us, the deep peace will be reflected into our beings.

We will re-charge our energy, revitalise our whole being, and find harmony within ourselves, and find strength, clarity and JOY.

Harnessing and balancing the body's subtle energy system (the Chakras), we can learn to let go of the past, transform our old physical, emotional and mental structures, to rediscover the power and beauty of ourselves.

Our morning sessions will begin with awakening the body and releasing areas of blocked energy, working into gentle and strengthening postures (Asanas) with breath work (Pranayama), to help promote a healthy spine, flushing toxins from our organs, and stimulate our lymphatic systems.

The evening sessions will work with gentle, graceful flowing sequences, (a synthesis of breath work and 'Mudra' - hand gestures, in guided moving meditations) and deep relaxation.
